CFE Exam Prep Course Tips 

The CFE Exam Prep Course® will help you stay on track with achieving your goal of obtaining the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) credential.  

Use the structured Study Plan provided with the course to help guide your studies or use your results from the pre-assessments to create a custom study plan that best fits your needs.   

To Prepare Effectively and Efficiently:

• Complete the “Getting Started” module: Although you have the option to skip the “How to Use This Course” lessons included in the "Getting Started" module, we recommend that you read this material before you begin studying. It will provide a helpful overview of key Prep Course features, customization options and tools. By gaining familiarity with the course at the start, you will enhance the overall effectiveness and efficiency of your study experience. 
• Set a Study Deadline: Setting a goal for when you want to complete the CFE Exam Prep Course and take the CFE Exam is an important step in creating and managing your study schedule. Having a study deadline will allow you to stay on track and better analyze progress as you advance through the course. 
• Utilize the “Today’s Knowledge Goal” feature: This feature shows you the amount of work you must complete each day to meet your study deadline and will adjust automatically as you progress. Target deadlines for each set of lessons and review questions will also appear within the Study Plan itself.
• Add Notes, Bookmarks and Highlights: Make it a habit to call out content that you want to return to later while you work through the Prep Course – this is a great way to review before taking the CFE Exam.  
• Quiz yourself with Flashcards: Use the provided flashcards to reinforce your knowledge of key concepts and terminology or create your own for targeted practice.
• Use the Fraud Examiners Manual to reinforce knowledge: When studying with the Prep Course, it is not necessary to pre-read the Fraud Examiners Manual. Instead, use this resource to supplement your studies by clicking on the links provided in the explanations.
