Digital currency is now the mainstream for most individuals and financial institutions. This gives modern fraudsters more opportunities to commit scams and schemes. You need to understand how these technologies work and how they can facilitate fraud.
Using examples from their joint investigations at the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), Thomas Regan and Denise Harding will provide transactions from digital currency platforms to demonstrate the flow of funds from one platform to another. They will also discuss how different transaction types and patterns are indicative of money laundering.
