Deepfakes Expert, Pandora Papers Investigative Journalist Among Keynotes at 2024 ACFE Fraud Conference Europe

Feb 29, 2024

AUSTIN, Texas (Feb. 29, 2024) — For the first time since 2019, the 2024 ACFE Fraud Conference Europe will return to in-person attendance. The annual event will take place on 13-15 March in London and online.

The conference's four keynote sessions will be led by artificial intelligence (AI) and deepfakes expert Henry Ajder; investigative journalist Malia Politzer; F1 data scientist Neil Martin; and founding partner of Parametric Global Consulting, Lloydette Bai-Marrow, who will moderate a panel discussion on the U.K. Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act.

Breakout sessions will cover a wide array of fraud topics, including a closer look at how to use open-source intelligence and AI tools for fraud investigations and cryptocurrency fraud trends on the Ethereum blockchain. Subject matter experts from Volkswagen, Ericsson, Anglo American and more renowned organizations will share their insights with attendees.

The ACFE Fraud Conference Europe moved to virtual in 2020, due to COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns, and remained fully virtual since then through 2023. This year's conference will be hybrid, with a venue in London. ACFE President John Gill, J.D., CFE expressed his excitement for the conference's return to in-person attendance, saying, "What better place to welcome back attendees than in one of the world's top financial centers: London. We hope in-person and virtual attendees are ready to take part in three days that will be rewarding educationally and socially."
